OBIEE 11g RPD is not connecting to Database to import metadata


After installing OBIEE 11g first time we will face this issue, we are unable to connect to DB or we re unable to view data from RPD.

Follow below steps to overcome this issue:

Just Copy your TNS file from your database and copy to below mentioned BI locations.

1) %MiddleWare_Home%\oracle_common\network\admin

2) %MiddleWare_Home%\Oracle_BI1\network\admin

If admin folder is not there .......just create admin folder and copy the TNS file.
